This USB contains everything on these three DVD-ROMs for the same price as buying the individual DVD-ROMs together:
In total it contains over 2,500 service sheets and circuit diagrams,
covering more than 5,000 different models. The majority of the data
covers valve, hybrid and transistor 405-line, 625-line and dual standard monochrome and colour
televisions. This includes a number of TV/audio combination units. There are also
several band 3-tuners, FM units and 625-line converters etc. In some cases there are a few different manuals for the
same chassis, such as separate field service and workshop manuals,
addendums/updates and fault finding guides etc.
The two Vintage Television DVD-ROMs are combined into a single index on the USB to make it easier to find the data you need.
It also contains over 9,700 individual component data sheets,
covering more than 9,000 different valves, CRTs, transistors, diodes and
ICs typically found in vintage radio and television equipment. In
addition there are 14 valve data books and charts giving single line
data on thousands more devices, and 22 equivalents lists and books which
include services devices. There are also a selection of period books and publications
covering servicing, circuit design ans historical aspects. Finally
there is a selection of valve tester manuals and charts for AVO,
Heathkit, Mullard and Taylor valve testers.
All data sheets are scanned at a high resolution, and stored in Adobe
Acrobat PDF format. They may be printed as required for workshop use.
With a standard inkjet or laser printer, the print quality is equivalent
to a good photocopy.
The USB can be used on any computer with a USB2 or USB3 port, using
a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Foxit Reader or Visagesoft Expert PDF
Reader, or using any modern web browser that supports PDF viewing such
as Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari. It has been tested and confirmed to
operate on Windows 10, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP, macOS Big Sur and Catalina,
and
various Linux distros, with the relevant software installed.
The data is supplied on a good quality 16GB (or larger) USB3 memory stick from a top brand
such as Kingston, SanDisk or Kioxia (formerly Toshiba), purchased from
UK authorised distributors. USB3 memory sticks are also compatible with
USB2 ports which have been the standard type since the early 2000's. The
photo is for illustration only, actual make and model will vary.
The USB will be supplied in its original packing (where available) which
will have been opened for duplication then resealed. There is no title
printed on the USB so you may wish to label it somehow (many have a hole
that a keyring could be attached to for this purpose).
