This free Windows menu program is a front-end for all four Vintage Radio Service Data CD-ROMs. Although each CD-ROM has an Adobe Acrobat index file, users may have to check the index of up to four CD-ROMs to find the information required.
This menu program contains and displays the content list of all four CD-ROMs, listed by Manufacturer and Model. When a particular service sheet is selected the program will prompt the user to insert the appropriate CD-ROM (if it is not already loaded) and will display the appropriate service sheet.
Options allow the selection of the CD-ROMs owned, specifying the location of the data files (whether on CD-ROMs or copied to your hard drive) etc. The software includes a powerful Search facility to allow you to search by words in the manufacturer and/or model, service data type and CD-ROM, plus any combination of these.
The software is suitable for Windows 98/NT4/2000/ME/XP only. Internet Explorer 5 or later and Adobe Acrobat 5 or later must be installed. Any Windows PC that can run Adobe Acrobat 5 should be able to run this software with no problems.

This software is provided free of charge to users of the CD-ROMs. A copy is supplied on all CD-ROMs sold since March 2005. If you purchased a CD-ROM before this date, and would like a copy of the menu program, you may download it from this page.
You may also wish to download it if you do not have the latest version. To check which version you currently have select "About..." from the "Help" menu. Please note that this software will not do anything useful if you do not have the appropriate CD-ROM(s).
CD-ROMs supplied up to February 2005 have a copy of Version 1 of this software, which is no longer supported.
Installer error message
During installation the following message may be displayed on some Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems:
"Error 1931 The windows installer service cannot update the system file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\hhctrl.ocx because the file is protected by Windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to operate correctly".
Simply ignore the error (by clicking "OK"). The installation will continue and complete successfully, and the installed software will run correctly.
